# mcpbox update

> Update MCP Box

Renames an MCP Box or replaces its metadata. Omitted fields keep their current values.

```bash theme={null}
continuous mcpbox update [flags]
```

## Examples

Replace `<id>` with the resource ID from your response before you run the command.

```bash theme={null}
continuous mcpbox update --id <id>
```

## Flags

**--body** `string`

Request body as JSON (alternative to individual flags). Can also be provided via stdin.

**--id, -i** `string` *required*

MCP Box ID.

**--metadata, -m** `string`

Replacement customer JSON metadata, up to 16 KiB and 64 nesting levels, or null to clear it.

**--name, -n** `string`

New name.
