# simulations create-simulation-advance

> Advance Simulation Time

DEPRECATED: Use API Box for APIs and Web Box for web apps

Schedules an absolute clock advance. An advance commits due local events in ordered batches, one step each; a failure keeps the batches already committed. Poll the returned operation until it completes.

Deprecated. Use API Box for APIs and Web Box for web apps.

```bash theme={null}
continuous simulations create-simulation-advance [flags]
```

Alias: `csa`

## Examples

Replace `<id>` with the resource ID from your response before you run the command.

```bash theme={null}
continuous simulations create-simulation-advance --id <id> --idempotency-key <value> --to 2026-07-12T00:40:22.318Z
```

## Flags

**--body** `string`

Request body as JSON (alternative to individual flags). Can also be provided via stdin.

**--id** `string` *required*

Simulation ID.

**--idempotency-key** `string` *required*

Stable key for this request. Reuse with the same target returns the same operation; reuse with a different target returns 409 idempotency\_conflict.

**--to, -t** `string` *required*

Absolute target time in RFC 3339, with at most millisecond precision.

Global flags apply to every command. See [Global flags](https://docs.continuouslabs.ai/cli/global-flags.md).
