# simulations create

> Create Simulation

Creates a Simulation from a ready Simulator and starts it. The response includes the Simulation endpoint and a token that expires in 1 hour. List and get do not return the token.

## Flags

  Request body as JSON (alternative to individual flags). Can also be provided via stdin.

<ParamField path="--name, -n" type="string">
  Name for the Simulation. Omission generates a name. The ID stays its identity, and names need not be unique.

<ParamField path="--simulator-id" type="string" required>
  ID of the ready Simulator.
</ParamField>

<ParamField path="--start-time" type="string">
  Initial simulated time in RFC 3339 format. Omission uses 2024-01-01T00:00:00Z. Precision is milliseconds.
