# worlds add-world-simulation

> Add World Simulation

Adds a ready Simulator to a ready, running, or stopped World as a new member, starting from its Simulator's default data, and returns the change. A running World starts the member at the World's current time; a stopped World creates it at its next start. Poll the change until it completes.

```bash theme={null}
continuous worlds add-world-simulation [flags]
```

Alias: `aws`

## Examples

Replace `<id>` with the resource ID from your response before you run the command.

```bash theme={null}
continuous worlds add-world-simulation --id <id> --idempotency-key <value> --simulator smr_01J8Z5X4K7M2N9P0Q1R2S3T4V5
```

## Flags

**--body** `string`

Request body as JSON (alternative to individual flags). Can also be provided via stdin.

**--id** `string` *required*

World ID.

**--idempotency-key** `string` *required*

Stable key for this request. Reuse with the same body returns the same change.

**--simulator, -s** `string` *required*

ID of the ready Simulator to add as a new member.

Global flags apply to every command. See [Global flags](https://docs.continuouslabs.ai/cli/global-flags.md).
